Machine is a Sci-Fi Tentacle Romance. That should really tell you everything, but if not, here is my expert opinion.

Lizzy is a lunatic, and I'm okay with that.

Zoe is a space pirate. An unwilling one, albeit, but she's still onboard her stepfather's salvage ship. The latest job is giving her the heebs, but her stepdad won't hear it--for long, because the job is going way sideways, and she's about to be the only survivor.

Okay, so Eon is an entirely twisted concept, and I don't even want to know where Lizzy Bequin came up with this cyborg/tentacle monster. It's a kinky and demented creature, and it was kind of hot. My catholic upbringing had me very ashamed for liking any of it at all--Lizzy, I buy all your books, and I'm addicted to your smut! For shame. For shame!

I can't explain any of this to you. You're going to have to read it. Machine is like trying to explain to someone what chicken tastes like, you have to eat it, or you're just going to think everything tastes like it.
