it was amazing

Like Jane Eyre? Then you probably will like this book. It is not as well written but it is really quite lovely.
Jane Champion is in her thirties and very plain. Gareth Dalmain is several years younger, good looking and an artist. Jane may not be pretty but she is one cool girl and everyone likes her. She is smart and no nonsense and the sort of girl that we would all like as a friend.
She may be plain but she can sing beautifully( think Susan Boyle). One day she is asked to sing in the place of a woman who gets sick and she selects the title song "The Rosary." Which by the way is a love song from the 1910's not Catholic.
Then of course when she starts singing Gareth is like, "Wow, this girl is so great." Then when he proposes to her Jane is tempted but her low self esteem makes her refuse.
Anyway that is just the beginning of the whole book. Gareth goes blind and Jane nurses him incognito while attempting to get him to forgive her.
You can suspect the ending but this book is quite fun. A nice, clean, Christian romance that is not preachy and a non Christian can read without feeling like they have read a sermon.
