really liked it

This story all starts with a girl called Hope. In this story she moves to Wisconsin and the welcome stairway diner. She works there as a waitress, and makes lots of friends ( one of her friends was Braverman, who becomes her boyfriend.)
The main part of this story is when G.T. Stoop enters the elections. He is a kind man and he runs the Welcome Stairway Diner. He has quite a challenge as he gets is booed by Eli Millstone’s ( his opponent) followers. Millstone runs the real fresh dairy ( a huge company that seems to cheat WAY TOOO MUCH!) and many men work for him, which loses G.T. many votes. Because of this he only just gets on the ballot by a margin. Trying to get GT elected as mayor is so hard for him, mainly because of Eli Millstone’s Real Fresh Dairy. People who work ( or their husbands work) in the real fresh dairy don’t want to vote for him, so they don’t lose their jobs. Another problem is that people are convinced GT won’t live to the elections. Even GT himself admits it himself. The thought of death doesn't worry him though. He wants to live his life to its fullest!

If you were wondering, G.T. is a man who suffers from leukemia and cancer, but he is good at heart, he tries to make Wisconsin a better place for all to live in. Unfortunately, an obstacle is stopping him from achieving his goal. His cancer. Will he live to to the elections, will he make it?

This story really focuses on the sense of hope that people have towards the chance of getting G.T. elected. This story is really heartwarming and has its cold and sad moments. Also the romance between Hope and Braverman is quite entertaining and a bit funny.
