really liked it

This dark graphic collection of poems gives insight into various fairy tale characters by putting a largely modern spin on them. The black and white cut paper illustrations are especially gruesome. Fascinating but not for the faint-hearted. Could provide some very interesting material for writing prompts or for acting monologues.

Book Pairings:
Cloaked in Red by Vivian Vande Velde, Tender Morsels by Margo Lanagan
