More like 2.5 stars. I find this author to be hit or miss for me. What did I like about this book? The heroine, how she was interested in both business and fashion. I just found the book to be so bizarrely paced. The couple is married almost immediately, then the heir to a duke goes to sea and becomes a pirate for seven years (I am extremely skeptical of pirates when put into a plot like this, because realistically, really?) OK. Fine. He's about to be declared legally dead, and he shows up at the hearing. Fine.

Then the entire last 30% of the book (and I have a Kindle, so believe me, I know) is literally the hero & heroine confined to the house as they work through their problems through a looooong extended scene of sex and conversation. Would this work in real life? Sure. But damned if it does not come off as extremely strange pacing in a romance novel.
