This sequel to Jenny Pox picks up right where it left off, and things just get even messier for Jenny and Seth. In this book, we get to meet Ashleigh's opposite, Tommy, who spreads fear; Esmerelda, a girl who can listen to the dead; and Esmerelda's opposite, Alexander, a boy who can control he dead. If you're hoping for some resolution, you won't get it in this book, but it has the same pull that the previous book had. These books are at times disturbing - Ashleigh's power to spread love is used in particularly disturbing ways, but something about these characters and the story kept me reading despite the sense of dread that built up to the end. I don't know what to expect from the last book in this trilogy, but I know I need to read it to find out how the story will play out and whether or not Jenny and Seth will get any kind of happy ending.
