Lucky Linderman's grandmother asked him to find his grandfather as she was dying. Her husband never returned from Vietnam, and that loss was hole that the family could never climb out of. Lucky is being bullied by a classmate and his social science project made everyone think that he is suicidal.

Why I started this book: I was interested in the modern ripples of the Vietnam War.

Why I finished it: Lucky is a stunning character, his confusion and transition are beautiful and an encouragement for everyone who reads this book.
