It is disappointing. I think Paolini should just stick to 3 installments like he originally planned. Trying to finish 748 pages with vivid details of everything but actually not really important would just wear you out, especially when the big plot could actually be told in about 400 pages tops.

It's hard to skip the book, though, when you fell in love already with the previous installments. Maybe you'll end up trying to read it through and through but also cursing Paolini in your head every 3 pages or so for making you work so hard for a supposedly beautiful tale :)
