it was amazing
bookshelves: picture-books

I have read this book many, many times. It is one of my favorite picture books because of its elegant story (father and child walk through winter forest at night to look for an owl), poetic language, and basically flawless execution. Excellent for its depiction of a sense of wonder. Excellent for its numerous examples of figurative language.
