did not like it
bookshelves: fiction, underwhelmed

Just could not go the distance with this one- too depressing and the plodding writing style drove me nuts (he went here, he went there, he showered, then he ate). Gah!

Deb Ugh was my response too. Do you think there are as many rotten people in the world as this book implies? And he ran into all of them! I had high hopes going into this one, based on an OPB interview. I was very disappointed.

Elizabeth me, too.
just too dark and made the world seem like a mean, mean place.

Ronald Charley ran into some very nice people too. But if you do not think the world also has many unloving and selfish, "rotten" people it makes me wonder how much of the real world you have experienced.

Elizabeth you seem fun, ronald! thank you for stopping by.

Craig Smillie Elizabeth, have a listen to Vlauten's album Colfax Avenu with The Delines. Maybe adding a tune to these heartbreak tales would appeal more. I love 'em!
