This book is like a long afternoon sitting on the porch listening to an old guy ramble on about his life, which was more active than yours. Look elsewhere for a detailed bio. Sometimes he gets a little tedious, especially toward the end when he's just listing people (maybe to fill space?) and if blather about Christianity bothers you, you have to remember that this is his book, not yours. That's what makes this a good book - his voice, the voice of ol' John, comes through unfiltered by his co-writer.
