liked it

I'm so terribly torn with this. On one hand, I love the remorseless cruelty and real precision with which Gaitskill writes. On the other, I think that precision is often wasted on indulgent and cheap attacks over insight. What I'm certain about is that I do not want to know anyone, or anyone like anyone, in this book.

Andrea I'm with you on the one star on the hardcover, but didn't you think that the new cover paperback upped its rating to at least two? What about the flashy stripey skirt? Doesn't that count for anything?
