it was amazing
Read in January, 2001

I remember reading this as a kid and absolutely loving it from beginning to end. My dad got it for me when I was eight going on nine, I believe. I can't quite recall the exact age but what I DO remember clearly is my young self jumping up and down every time Ramona would think, do or say something I did. That's the magic of the book, you can actually see Ramona as someone real, someone you know. Whether you're a youngster or older than Ramona, rememberizing the good times or reading it out loud to a youngster, it's relatable and Beverly's just brilliant. Side-note: the egg fashion and the whale teacher had me in stitches and still do when I reread it!
