Seriously? Justice is taken prisoner by the mysteriously still alive Vampire Goddess Anubisa at the end of book two only for him to not have one scene with her in his entire book? Weird. The book opens with Justine trapped in the Void - a realm Anubisa cast him into after he was unable to get it up and please her. He battles his way through the void, hanging on to his sanity by his visions of his soul mate Keely - a modern day archeologist with psychic abilities. I thought Justice reasoning with the creature in the Void that they would escape together (the creature turned out to be human) was rather convenient given that the exits to the Void required a blood sacrifice.

Anyway, somehow the people of Atlantis have discovered Keely's abilities and brought her to Atlantis but the whys of that are never really discussed, along with a bunch of other things like Liam's resemblance to Nerus (a long past powerful priest), his marriage which is supposedly forbidden but conveniently setting up the possibility for Alaric (the current priest) and Quinn (his destined soul mate) to have a future, the forced mating of Justice's father (the King of Atlantis) by Anubisa, the gaes on Justice to never reveal the details of his birth, so many little loose storylines that don't really get wrapped up or explained as Justice and Keely pretty much meet and head off on a quest to recover the Star of Artemis to help save Justice's soul from fracturing.

A continued easy and quick read, but the continued addition of new storyline possibilities without wrapping up the storyline the book is supposed to be about is becoming annoying.

I need a break from this series before jumping into the next one but I will get to it soon.
