Syndrome E: A Novel by Franck Thilliez

I really enjoyed this thriller, it was a page turner and you went along for the ride through Paris, Egypt and Canada to find out who and what caused a fifty year old murder that led to finding five new bodies in Paris that had the same MO. Wrapped in the story of a subliminal film that led to more deaths and a cover up that went all the way back to the French Foreign Legion and the CIA!

Franck Sharko is the main inspector that is investigating these bizarre circumstances and gets caught up in all of the seemingly unrelated clues that opens up a world of secrets from the French Foreign Legion, mass genocide and how the United States CIA funded experimental testing on the human brain and just how far you can go to destroy a person's will.

Yes there were some issues I had with the premise, but over all it feed my conspiracy theory brain and was very entertaining.
