Just re-read this. Its an amazing book - so realistic and frightening but funny and thought provoking. I love the way she molds the ever evolving world of human trafficking with our desire to stay young forever and the class divide that we see every day in my favorite gossip magazines. The rich stay younger and thinner and the rest of us plebes are distracted with porn and executions on the web while in a dusty far off world, another boy soldier war rages on. Two things stick in my mind. The Chicken McNubbins and the purring to heal yourself. I don't know why.
