it was amazing

If you enjoyed The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making, this new sequel will not disappoint. It is just as wonderfully quirky, clever, and adventuresome as the first, but you will find it a very different sort of adventure indeed. If you haven't read The Girl who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a (breathe) Ship of her Own Making, you most definitely should. If you're the type that looks down rabbit holes or prods the backs of wardrobes just in case it should happen to lead you to a magical world, you'll fit right in in Fairyland.
This time, September returns to Fairyland, but finds it not at all as she expected. Not that Fairyland was ever a place to expect the expected, but her journey remains wholley unexpected, and quite pleasantly so. This is especially true if you are the reader curled up in a comfy chair and not the protagonist who has a much less relaxing, if more exciting time. This time, however, she discovers there is more to Fairyland than just what's on the surface. I am so happy this book exists, because just one book about Fairyland was nowhere near enough.
Both Fairyland books would make fantastic read-aloud books. If you want to plunge into the adventure with someone else, I highly recommend it. However, if you want to keep it all to yourself instead, you'll have a great time, too!
