Such a Rush

Really good books are like a memorable meal in a fine restaurant. The appetizers get you excited and thinking about the main course, salads make you feel healthy and guilt-free, the main course satisfies your hunger (while maybe transporting you to an exotic mental place) and has you wishing you could create such a dish yourself. The dessert fills in the last lingering corners of desire, leaving you sated and really glad you took the time and spent the money for the experience. This book did all of these things for me and more. I loved the characters and found their actions and flaws very believable. Leah is tough because she has to be, but her feelings and her hurts are real and well drawn as she navigates the uneasy road between her absent mother, her need to fly and her prickly relationships with the Hall twins and Mark, who can't seem to get his act together in order. I really like how the author sorted out loose ends and wrapped up the story. It was a perfect dessert.
