it was ok
bookshelves: ya-fiction, science-fiction

Loved the first three books. Couldn't wait for this one and scored an ARC. On page 152 and so far and am disappointed. I hope it gets better, but so far the main characters are rather wooden.

I loved Maze Runner and the two sequals. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for this prequal. I felt like the Characters were one dimensional. There was action, but it was really too much. There was nothing other than running and jumping and fighting and it all pretty much lead nowhere. This was a very disappointing prequal. I expected it to be more about Thomas and the construction of The Glade, etc.

Jen Legatt I agree. I was looking forward to the story behind the building of the maze and the friendship between Thomas and Teresa. I got more out of the last few bonus pages than the novel itself.
