So, apparently, I have found this series when it is in the seventh novel. Now, I have to go back and read the first six, because House Blood was very good. The main character is Joe DeMarco who works for John Mahoney, the former democratic Speaker of the House. Joe is asked to look into Brian Kincaid's arrest for the murder of his law partner. From this innocent beginning, Joe finds himself embroiled in a pharmaceutical corporation headed by Orson Mulray that has discovered a possible cure for Alzheimers and hired Fiona who orders anyone who tries to interfere murdered. The plot builds and bodies pile up as Joe tries to solve the various crimes.
