I'm not sure what I read, but I liked it. William Gibson calls it "A riddle that was never meant to be solved. It won't work unless you can allow it to become your head for a few weeks." Sparsely populated, barely function Detroitesque city. Name unknown protagonist referred to as Kid or The Kid. Switches between first and third person, poems and prose written by Kid, Kid reading his own poems/journal. Equal parts Science Fiction, Magical Realism, and Metafiction. Motley crew of misfits, vagabonds AND vagrants, rejects, and introverts named The Scorpions, whose terror is only surpassed by their laziness. Oh, and ballin'; Lots of ballin'; Lots of queer; Lots of ménage à trois; Lots of ménage à ten; Gangbangs of 20; More ballin'; More queer stuff; Straights doing queer stuff; Two moons; Moon named George; Black hero/rapist named George; A church; A monastery; An astronaut who's been to the moon; A giant sun; Blacks and whites; A commune; Whites and blacks; Multistable perception; Big words; Newly constructed words; Denial; Missles? Planes? ; The wheel has come full circle; Most of you won't finish reading it
