Reasons Why Bar Code Tattoo Wasn't All That Good

- Sudden introduction of supernatural energy/force/thing at the end, and an inadequate description for cause of supernatural energy/force/thing.
According to the book the bar codes forced people to adapt to the new environment by developing psychic abilities?
Also earlier it said that Global-1 was hindering and putting an end to all natural evolution of mankind. Don't the new psychic abilities of Kayla and Mfumbe contradict that?

-The cover is annoying.
In the book Kayla's hair was described as brown. The cover shows it is clearly blonde.

- The amazing secret of the bar code is that it knows your genetic information?
This is actually kind of cool, but the way it's being used is kind of far fetched.
Companies refusing to hire you because you might get sick later in life is of cold hearted but the explanation is plausible: they don't want to pay your medical bills.
Hotels refusing to let you stay a night and stores refusing to sell you goods is completely outrageous.

- it was never clear if Kayla's dad died because of the tattoo or because of his schizophrenia.

I like the idea, but a lot of things in the book were not explained very well or clearly enough.
