it was amazing
bookshelves: 4-or-5-stars, memoirs-biographies

Night is a classic, and one i had never read before. I know that there was one english class in highschool that read it, but not one I took. I always saw them walking around with it..i think it was short stories. this was short, i finished it in less than a day. For those of you under a rock who had never heard of this, it's a memoir by Elie Wiesel, a teenager who is sent to Auschwitz with his family. It is, as i expected, pretty heart-breaking. We all know what happened, but it's important to read things like this just to keep it fresh in our minds. At the start of the book, he says how one neighbor came to warn them, but everyone said, this is the 20th century, things like that don't happen anymore. he's crazy. how many people would say that again in these times and keep about their lives? most..
