it was ok

Another book my daughter recommended to me. It was an interesting story. I'm always interested in what message is being communicated, so here's what I found in this book:

-There isn't always one "right" side and one "wrong" side in a war
-One voice can influence a whole community
-If you get people to watch enough TV they become desensitized to suffering around them
-Leaders are as good/corrupt as the people who vote for them

And lastly, since both sides were wrong in the war, the author seemed to come to the conclusion that we should therefore believe in nothing but ourselves (and not the gods that both sides believed in)
A illogical conclusion to come to, in my opinion.
So 2 stars since the story wasn't all that engaging anyway.
