it was amazing

I love romantic suspense novels. This one starts like any good one does- with a cop and a reporter. From there, nothing is what you expect. The cop is female Detective Lydia Davis, and the killer she’s been hunting for months isn’t an ordinary man. The killer’s corpse gets up and strolls out of the morgue. She is attacked in the woods by a beast that can’t possibly be real. The only person who can help Detective Davis is crime reporter Ryan Williams who has a secret about the killer she’s hunting and one of his own. Together, Lydia and Ryan work to track the killer.
This book is awesome! The book manages to balance the feel of a romantic suspense and a paranormal novel all at once. Lydia is first and foremost a cop. Forensic results, neighbor interviews, the morgue, and the police station are all executed wonderfully in a way that shows you Lydia is a cop and doesn’t just tell you. The paranormal aspects of the book are also very well done. You don’t have to suspend belief to get there. Overbrook writes it so well you honestly believe your neighbor could be a werewolf. I would definitely recommend this to fans of both romantic suspense and paranormal. They’ll both be satisfied.
