I found this one to be a good read, and in some spots it is beautifully written, but I just couldn't stop comparing it to Life As We Knew It, which I found to be a more compelling story. I never really fully connected to the characters, and some of it just did not ring true. I was frustrated that some of the science behind what was happening as the earth "slowed down" was brushed over. Like what was with all the birds dying off in such large numbers? It seems to me that people would have been panicking more, and the food supply dramatically affected. This was explained by farmers using massive tents and sun lamps?? So for me there was an issue of believability which I never bought into and which for me detracted from the story.
