I've read Rowen's Living in Eden series, but I'd never picked up any of the Immortality Bites books. However, when I received a copy of one of the later books in the series, I decided to give it a shot.

Overall, I was rather lukewarm on Bitten & Smitten. I didn't feel it brought anything new to the table and I prefer Molly Harper's Jane Jameson books (incidentally, the first book in Harper's series was published in 2009, three years after Rowen's Bitten and Smitten) or Chloe O'Neill's Chicagoland Vampires series (also pubb'd in 2009).

I'm going to keep reading to see if it gets any better. Book one was packed to the gills with drama, it would be nice to see Thierry and Sarah in the get-to-know-you stage. I loved the 'Thierry' in L.J. Smith's Soulmate, and Rowen's Thierry has a long way to go to measure up.
