it was amazing
bookshelves: young-adult-lit

This was an amazing book about a young girl who runs away from home to find the man who both her and her mother had come to love. She travels across the country to reach the place where she believes he lives. She calls herself Bird and befriends several of the people who live there.

I really enjoyed reading this book and coming to understand its shifting points of view. The inclusion of characters and the complexity of each one made the story come alive for such a short novel.

violence- 2
there is talk of punishment after a car is stolen

language- 1
no real language in the book. only casual insults

sex- 0
no sex
