So many of the statements in the book made me think the author was writing sensational newspaper headlines.

The book leaves one with the impression that most FBI efforts were failures, when I know so many of their agents were thorough, motivated and honest criminal investigators. The secrecy factor was always a joke as you could be sure if you shared info, you wouldn't get much back. Director Bob Mueller was always respected when he worked for the US Attorney in Boston in charge of the Criminal Division, and it appears he brought his work ethic and very sharp mind to lead the FBI for the past 11 years.

I am skeptical of many of the washed-over stories in the book which seemed to always denigrate the FBI's efforts.
