And I am now in love with Derek. And Simon. And I love just about all the characters in this book (I know it took me 2 books but...). I believe Armstrong unleashed her powers on this book. A Solid A+. If I said the first 2 books were page-turners, this one is... well, let's just say it took me less than 4 hours to finish this book (which is pretty much very fast for me).

I love Derek's imperfections to the end. I know I still fall for the perfect characters authors of these days create, but having a male protagonist who's so... insecure of himself is very much welcome. And I admire Chloe for not acting without thinking. Most of our book heroines act impulsively. Throwing themselves in danger that ends risking everyone else. Again, a nice change.

The ending leaves room for a sequel. And I believe the Darkness Rising Trilogy is the second trilogy of this series which I'd have to read soon!
