- war, famine, and plague
- blood and gore
- consensual sexual content

It also contains brief references to:

- sexual assault (not directed at any named character)
- drug use

message 2: by Tricia (new) - added it

Tricia I saw this book in an email and was immediately interested as I love the story of Dracula and its many adaptations and retellings. I came to Goodreads to add it to my want to read list and skim through some reviews and what I immediately noticed were all the comments about this being a "sapphic" book even though both descriptions of the book, both in the email and here on Goodreads, don't explicitly mention anything about this. So, exactly how much lesbianism is in this book? Shouldn't that be mentioned for readers who aren't interested in this type of retelling?

Hi! I've centralized the sapphic plotline in much of my own marketing for the book, and the description features this line: "finding comfort in the arms of her rival consorts." to allude to the sapphic relationship. As far as "how much lesbianism" is in the book, I won't spoil with specifics, but there is a central love story between two women in it.

I'm so happy you enjoyed it! <3
