it was amazing

I debated between 4 or 5 stars - probably a 4.5. The story follows three friends who came together as eleven year olds - all three either orphaned or abandoned. They form an extremely close bond. What really drew me into the story was the way decisions and omissions made at a young age impacted their lives forever. That is something no one realizes at 18, but is so true. There are many unexpected twists in the story. I found it hard to put down until I finished it. And I really did not want it to end - partially I wanted to know what comes next and partially was not satisfied with the ending.
