Sethie is convinced she is chubby. This is a narration of her inner demons derailing her into under-eating. I suspect that the voice is spot on, when I get a chance I will hand a copy to a friend who would know.
If I had students/children with this problem I might set this book where they would see it. Sethie has friends and family who would help her, it would be good for other kids in this situation to know that there is help, that people love them...and would do anything.
