The author's landlord, Simon Norton, is an eccentric math genius, with an IQ of 178(?) and a passion for the British public transportation system, and in this book, he tries to piece together his life story through interviews with Simon and the few who knew him well. Simon himself often gets in the way, as the author describes the challenges in writing the book.

Very strange, but quite funny, with an odd, disjointed humor, and the occasional taste of Group Theory mathematics, some insight into public transportation, and a peek into the life of an intriguing man.
