did not like it
bookshelves: audiobooks, shifters, romance-paranormal
Read 2 times. Last read July 8, 2012.

Rune is a great character but the pacing is so frustratingly off kilter I am not sure I can finish it.

I did a lot of fast forwarding. This book suffers mightily in comparison to the other three - really a shame because Rune is a spectacular hero. The first half is talkytalkytalky and NOTHING HAPPENS. When the plot finally starts moving along it's not very interesting and far from the scintillating stuff I expect from a paranormal series about powerful immortals. Morose and mopey "Leaf me alone. I just
vant to die." Carling as a romantic lead tested my patience for way too long.

On a happier note, Sophie Eastlake has grown on me.
