WOW and OH ... MY ... GOD! I made myself a promise that I wouldn't read any of the EIT books back to back (I do this when I really love a series that I don't want to end). I wonder how long it's going to take me to break this promise considering how Lying Season ended. Where in the world do you start to write a review on Lying Season? I think this was my favorite in the series so far - and I think I've said that about every book in this series so far. This one spooked me more so than the previous books in the series. And I have a feeling that On Demon Wings is going to have an even greater spook factor, based on the synopsis. I am not one that enjoys scary things - not movies, not haunted houses - nothing that goes bump in the night. My sister makes fun of me because I won't watch anything borderline scary in the evening because I don't want to have nightmares. I even made her watch shows like X-Files and Supernatural during the day because I'm that much of a chicken. I'll give you a moment to laugh at me about this (and I'm aware that you're laughing at me, not with me). ... .. . I'm not sure if I want to smack Dex upside the head, or wrap my arms around him and tell him everything's going to be okay. I love him and hate him all at the same time. And Perry is just awesome. She's the perfect mix of smart, funny, quirky, vulnerable and flawed. And when she does the occasional thing that I don't necessarily agree with, I find myself making excuses and justifying her actions - because it's Perry. And I'd love to punch Jenn in her perfect, little, wine-babes nose (I'm picturing the blood pouring out of it - and enjoying the mental picture. That's for you, Perry!). I can't wait to see how the story continues. I can't wait to see what spooky things are to come. Most importantly, I can't wait to see where Perry and Dex go from here.
