really liked it

This was my next Jim Thompson read from Goodwill.

This certainly is Noir. Dark strange characters pulling constant shady deals in a spiral of plots that doesn't quite end where you'd expect. There are no heroes in this one.

The book follows Roy Dillon who is a con man/a grifter who is very interesting but not someone you root for. It's a good dark tea time of the soul without the rampant guts and gore that all too often mar the genre.

A good read.
