really liked it

I bought this book in Maine in 2002 and it has sat on my bookshelf all that time. (Ten years!) Since that time I had read Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert which I did not care for. When I realized this was one and the same author I picked it up out of curiosity and have thoroughly enjoyed it.
This story is a delight, and Ruth is a wonderful character. I love all the central women characters...they are strong and loving and one wonders how they put up with the tomfoolery of their men!
