it was amazing

First of three novelettes before the next Odd Thomas book.
It's good to catch up with Odd. Dean Koontz writes great kinda horror takes, spiced with humor and always includes a dog, usually a Golden Retriever that's smarter than your average run of the mill dog.
This book is part one of a little adventure Odd gets into. Odd has a sixth sense and can see the dead. He collects equally strange friends in his various adventures. Odd is a Good Guy, drawn to bad situations by his sixth sense where he must take on the role of a hero.
I think these three stories are prequels to the upcoming novel. Koontz starts the story by referencing something that occurred with some baddies with a nuclear weapon and Odd and a new, strange friend are on the run after saving the day. They end up in a tiny California village where there is Evil afoot and it's up to Odd to once again save the day.
Good read. I think these are only available as ebooks.
