While this book is probably considered a parenting book by most I would say it goes beyond that into the realms of sociology, cultural studies and contemporary life.If you are interested in french culture this book will probably appeal to you outside of the parenting focus. I found it fun, thought-provoking and entertaining. It reminded me in a good way of a Malcolm Gladwell book, weaving together anecdotes and facts, a complimentary blend of compelling personal stories and solid research. The writing style is very warm and friendly, I would liken it to a satisfying article from a glossy magazine, one that holds your attention and is hard to put down. If the subject matter of this book catches your attention I would say yes, it's worth checking-out.
