I loved The Third Policeman and this is the kind of book I ought to like, but it was a struggle to figure out what was going on or to stay interested. There were definitely times I felt that O'Brien was being frustratingly aimless. Still, it's short and has its charm and I'm planning on a re-read down the road. I imagine I'll appreciate it more then, when I start off knowing what I'm getting into.
