it was amazing
bookshelves: contemporary, short-stories

I'm not a fan of Erotica but I have a thing about reading the works of 'Important' authors and I think Anais Nin is a very important author - she defines a genre and this collection is really very good. There is real narrative and character development here, this isn't just about titillation. I'm not now a convert, I'm a bit of a prude - I have no intention of seeking out any more pioneers of this genre but this was very good and I will read some more of Anais Nin's work. Her style is very much like a favourite author of mine, Angela Carter, just a tad raunchier and a little less nutty.
