really liked it

There's a name missing on GRs listing and it belongs
to keen journalist James Fox who, as anybody with
a smige of smarts realizes, wrote the book, albeit
coauthor credit. Fox also wrote the nonfiction murder
story, "White Mischief," about sex, lies & drugs among
UK aristos, 1941, in Africa.

Helen My husband's been reading parts of this to me. I love all the British slang. He sounds so much more intelligent than I ever gave him credit for.

Sketchbook Js Fox said he was a difficult person to "interview." It took almost 5 yrs but the advance was a couple of mill. Split, I hope, 50-50.

Boyd James Fox *is* good--in addition to WHITE MISCHIEF, he wrote an interesting book on the Langhorne sisters. I guess when you have as much money as Keith Richards (or his publisher) you can afford a very high-quality co-author.

Andrew Schirmer I have ordered White Mischief, sounds fascinating.

Sketchbook It's v entertaining. The film version is not. Goog sez (today) that the x you think dunit (the murder) in fact did-it, as it turns out.
