If the time has come to pull out the sunscreen, put on that swimsuit, and head to the patio, pool, or beach, then you know Elin Hilderbrand will be releasing a great new book about relationships on Nantuckett Island. SUMMERLAND, her best work yet, is worth buying the hardcover book.
A tragic car accident on graduation night kills superstar Penny Alaister, severely wounding her equally awesome twin Hobby, her boyfriend Jake and childhood friend Detemer--four of the best and brightest junior-soon-to-be seniors, leaving parents--all the adults and teens on the island--forever changed. Told in multiple POV's there are no villains among the cast of characters we meet in Summerland, only flawed individuals who are each trying to make sense of life, and the accident the best way they can. The characters are complex, imperfect, and you'll probably see some of yourself in each of them.
