it was amazing

Along with Beckett's The Unnamable, this is probably one of the two most difficult novels in the English language. The unbelievably complex puns, allusions, portmanteau words, and other language games demonstrate Beckett's famous comment about Joyce: that his work moved towards omnipotence and complete mastery over his material.
