A bit of a let down after the great set up by the author in the first book. Giving it three stars because it was still interesting, but it really devolved into more of a hackneyed romance rather than the strong female character driven narrative of Eon. Despite involving a lot of battle scenes, the pace of this book really dragged. I found myself skimming over sections because it didn't seem like they added a lot to the overall plot. Disappointing, after how much I enjoyed Eon.

Steph Great summary of how I felt about the second book too! Love triangles have become a terrible YA fiction cliche.
