** spoiler alert ** I know this historical fiction, but if Elizabeth was as stupid in real life as the fictional Elizabeth is in this book, she would have lost the throne. Even a fictionized version of Elizabeth should show some strength of character.

Kelly You're 100% right here. I thought this book was tedious in the extreme and the characterisation overly dramatic and annoying.

Chris I have mixed feelings about Gregory. I knew the Other Bol. Girl was bad history but it was a good read. Then each book after was just not as good. And I am touchy about how Elizabeth is protrayed in fiction.

Kelly And again I'd have to agree! :)
