it was ok
bookshelves: graphic-novels

I really liked Vera Brosgol's loopy artwork, but the story seemed a little pat, like an after-school special on learning self-acceptance and gaining confidence in the process blended with SCARY STORIES TO TELL IN THE DARK. I should probably stop reading graphic novels clearly written for teenage girls because I alternately feel like a idiot and a dirty old man reading comics that are for kids. This would have rocked my world at 14.
