I read this book straight through on Sunday after picking it up by chance at Sam's Club as I was checking out. On one hand I loved it. I loved the creepy pictures, the writing, and the way the mystery unfolded. Yet by the end, I was left wanting something just a little more. More creepiness, I guess. The last third, especially the ending, didn't quite live up to the set up. I was thinking it was more of a ghost story than it was. Once we figure out what the house is, my hopes were deflated. Probably more of a 3.5 for me, but still an enjoyable read that kept me reading straight up until bedtime.
