it was amazing
bookshelves: war-romance, family-relationships, second-world-war, military-romance

A thoroughly good read. There are some sexually explicit parts but given the period it is discussing and the fact that it is about female relationships and their life's experiences from wartime to modern days, they cannot be considered inappropriate. Or in fact any different to what you often find discussed on TV these days.

This book was an excellent dissection of women's relationships and not always in a favourable light. The author clearly understands women and what makes them tick, many people will find themselves emphasising with the characters and understand the hormone driven teenage periods and why some women are attracted by the charisma of powerful men. Highly recommended.
